Matt, this is one of the best shots I have seen from you and as has been said, masterful. Just one minor niggle on my part, I find the sloping horizon a distraction.

Now that you mention the horizon...nope! All I can see it is a blurred line going down to the right demarcating the floor ending and a wall starting and the blurred four light panes of a window letting some light in in a room. So in fact the shallow depth of field and the blurred glass panes of a window/door and the line gives it a contextual meaning to me and it makes me think, perhaps wrongly, that the plant was in a room bathed by the golden light of a sun setting from behind the camera gently bathing the floor and wall.
Of course, we have the photographer's admission of getting Mr Pshop's help perhaps to boost the colour to making it more orange and golden than it was.

Its irrelevant how you got to the final result or what means you used, it's the initial viewer impact and not the subsequent deconstruction of the image that matters.

taking a picture for the representation of reality is boring (unless you're a photojourno)... creating a picture as art is interesting...and this is art for me.

No I was asleep... Now I'm awake after some java and sleep. (11 hours drive to Melbourne airport, then flight to Sydney, then 8 hours drive to Coffs makes for a dopey traveller/peruser of photographics..)

Hey zafra, sorry for the late reply - just to be clear, i was not having a go at you in this post more just a general comment about the initial impact of a image. In this case it is obviously processed, however that was not my first thought... it was more 'yeah that looks nice'
I then deconstructed the image and processing in my head
