Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Dusted off the camera after a few years and nearly killed myself getting to the racecourse!

Great captures all. But it is the shame the snow is so blown out. Did you capture in RAW? if so, you may be able to claw some detail back.

Strong action images. You pressed the button at exactly he right time for these. Agree with Mr Darcy that a little more texture in the snow would improve these.

Thanks for the comments..

Absolutely right that the snow is overblown. In fact the whole series were overexposed. I'm fairly rusty after a few years away from the camera. Looking forward to getting back into it.

Shakey some great photos. You've got close enough to capture a great expression in the 3rd. Well done. As for being rusty, I empathise with you. I picked up a DSLR yesterday for the first time in many years. It is so complicated compared to my trusty Fuji's, but I hope I'll work things out soon enough and be able to drive both systems.

As for the snow, I never knew inner city Sydney was THAT cold...
