Re: Sister photo update.I agree they are both extremely nice images.
Perhaps I am the odd one out here but I think I'd like to see some light on her shoulders (and perhaps her hair), to show a little definition in those dark areas. In particular, the 2nd shot leaves me thinking she is a little heavier than I think she is in real life. Perhaps some form of rim lighting to give even a slight amount of detail in those dark areas (I feel) would help resolve this. Just my take on them. Otherwise I agree that the exposure on her face is right on the money. Either way, fantastic images! Dave Dave

Re: Sister photo update. Thanks for your kind feedback guys, It was all shot with natural lighting through windows coming in from the left of the images. I've enjoyed all natural light since using my fuji system, I honestly can't recall the last time i've used any form of flash. Dave I'll have a fiddle and see if I can add a little more light or boost the shadows a little more in the areas you suggested, I didn't know I was taking photos for her until she turned up, usually I wouldn't get her in a black top as her hair is dark too and I find it all looks too dark sometimes. She was happy with them and has already used them for her web page and email updates so I guess thats a good thing.
In regards to the exposure on her face etc I just love the Fuji EVF.... some people hate it, but I truly love it, no longer do I need multiple shots, Im usually nailing it on the first shot nowadays which I love. 2 x Fuji xt1,vg-xt1 grip, Fujinon xf 18-55mm 2.8-4, Fujinon xf 14mm, Fujinon 56mm 1.2.
Re: Sister photo update.Excellent portraits. I think I like prefer the first one, for no particular reason.
Re: Sister photo update. The first one is better composition and lighting wise. There's more depth to the image. The only thing that would need tweaking is the shadow detail in her hair.
