POTW 24-May-2016This weeks winner was once again chosen from amongst some wonderful contenders, and that made the choice quite difficult. I chose this image because of its amazing impact...it sucked me into a sense of place. It took me there and I couldn't drag myself away. The composition is just wonderful and consists of a series of cascading triangles and lines that drag the unwitting eye down to the small rocky feature 2 thirds down to bottom right. These lines are the edges of the shapes and forms that make up the landscape and they lock the composition together in a wonderful way. I hope Tonyt doesn't mind me overwriting the image to illustrate the arrangement. I think I have learnt something from this image and I appreciate that it was posted.
