Late night out in MelbourneWell, sadly I watched my team get flogged by the Hawks last night, wasn't unexpected but it was worse than I had thought. Following the footy we headed to crown for dinner then walked back to fed square, glad I had my camera. I haven't taken many photos around melbourne especially at night, but I gave it a go at around 1 am this morning. Heres one of my favourites from the late night walk, in colour and B & W. Hope you like it as much as I do. Not my usual photography style but always good to shoot something different once in a while.

Re: Late night out in MelbourneBoth are great pictures, but I prefer the colour one.
Re: Late night out in MelbourneI like both. Bet they look brilliant on a large monitor.

Re: Late night out in Melbournelooks beaut in BW..
I just have a feel a slightly tighter left crop might help, i dunno I always get carried away cropping Canon EOS 40D

Re: Late night out in MelbourneThanks guys, Matt it does look great on my 27" monitor, made a great screen saver for now too! I'm having trouble choosing whether to get the coloured or the black and white image printed. I like them both but lean more towards the black and white more. I had tried a crop on the left but I felt it was unbalanced, and as it is the river in my opinion (doesn't hold all that much value) draws my eyes further into the image, but when it was cropped I didn't feel it did it quite as much. I too find cropping images something difficult at times.

Re: Late night out in MelbourneI'd like just a nudge more contrast in the mono treatment. Making the blacks blackerer.
Try following the Roosters ... g.

There's only one consolation in following a truly dreadful Rabbitoh's side. They're still ahead of the Roosters... President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

What's the difference between a square, and the Newcastle Knights? A square has four points. g.
