POTW-29-June-2016I chose this image by zafra52, (who surely must soon be 53), as POTW for the following reasons.
1. It is a sterling portrait with no distractions, well cropped and strong eye contact 2. On suggestions by other forum members he reprocessed the image into B&W. This enhanced the image further and made it even more powerful. If I was to make a few minor criticisms I would suggest lightening and then adding more contrast to the eyes and cloning or darkening the beam behind the head would improve the image even further. also perhaps add some contrast to the whiskers....make them pop off the page. Another thing that could be very interesting is to add some film grain. But....well done zafra52. A fine portrait. Regards

Re: POTW-29-June-2016Wow! Thanks Matt.
If only, 52 is the year I was introduced formally to my parents. And what a bundle of joy they had!
Re: POTW-29-June-2016Congrats Zafra
Re: POTW-29-June-2016Thank you very much, Tony.
Re: POTW-29-June-2016Great photo Zaffs.
As my recently departed neighbour and friend Geoff Lee always said, there's 7 billion people in the world. Each one has a story and a photo to give. He photographed Liz Taylor, Omar Sharif, Louie Armstrong etc, but every person has something to give this world. I wonder what story your subject would give if he had the chance? Well done on POTW.
