Platinumweaver alive, but africanised!

Postby PlatinumWeaver on Wed Mar 16, 2005 5:47 pm

Just dropping ya`ll a line to let you know i'm still alive, still taking shots and just left Kruger National Park. Internet availability is few and far between, but I'll try to upload some shots at some point.

Mmmmm upload speed!!

Go to Holidays & South Africa for pictures...

Keep in mind these are pretty much holiday snapshot pics.. Yes the exposure should be pretty much right.. and I've tried to keep things interesting.. and yes.. i'm using a damn big zoom ( which the people on the jeep called a cannon *chortlechortle* )..

I'm not looking for any sort of constructive critisism<sp?>.. "Nice shots" will do, even if you don't mean it :)

Kipper:

It has been wonderful, an absolute lifesaver, thank you!
I think the batteries need charging now though and I dont think it charges them itself. Still using it as a secondary backup though, two copies of each shot taken. One goes in the suitcase, the other goes in the carry-on luggage. If I could find a cheap source of CDs I'd send some home as well..

Dean - the pics look great and it is always wonderful to see animals where they should be - in their native habitat :D

It should charge them, just make sure you set the PD7X slider switch to OFF (middle) position while it's plugged into a powersource. It won't charge while it's in either of the modes I think.
