Sheepie's Jenolan picsHi all - just got home (well, about an hour ago really!), and had a look at the pics from the weekend. Am really thrilled with the outcomes, and the opportunity to have done this - thanks again go to Nigel!
Here's a couple of teasers (no doubt people will soon be sick of all these cave pics!)... The larger versions of these, and others as I process them, are visible here: http://sheepie.smugmug.com/gallery/437945 *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
the bone shot and the reflection shot are great!
cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

Very nice I also like "dem bones" BTW how much PP was done with these pic's? How did you go with the WB that the other posts have been talking about?
Mal
I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.
WB was manually done AFTER the shoot, as I shot everything RAW. The main reason for this is some shots were with a flash, others without, and still others (eg: the column un Lucas Cave) with both! Minimal PP other than sharpening and slight levels adjustment where necessary - am too tired atm to do anymore One last one before bed time: Presenting the Camping Sub-Chapter of D70users.com... *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
where abouts did you guys get that banner? i would like to get one for the brisbane/qld chapter...
cheers btw... terrible looking bunch of hobbos... http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
I already have for QLD chapter with the letter of "QLD" at the corner same as VIC and SA, but don't know who I'll address to! So who want to hold the flag in each state, please PM me. Birddog114

Awesome. Just went to post my skeleton shot and saw yours so held off. I guess we'll see lots of duplicates. The lighting on the broken column really makes a greate shot even better. I think my favourite though is the last one you've posted here. And the boys and the banner is not only a great shot, but a damn clever idea. How far into the coffee liqueur did this one occur? Oh, and your pics make mine look ordinary Peter

Note the incredibly clear water *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
Excellent stuff Leon... Love the one of the column through the doorway. That was a very clever shot... (I saw it being taken)...
Where are the rest? Cheers, John

The "graffitti" shot you've posted here was a good find and well executed. I also like the lighting and colour in this shot, but my two favourites are this one (in a previous post and with some credit to MHD) and the one below: Peter

Thanks Stubbsy - the shot you refer to (see below) was down at the campsite. I used a Cokin Grad ND filter on this one, to try and even up the lighting, and am reasonably pleased with the results: The graffitti shot was pointed out to a couple of us at the reflections, and I managed to stay back a bit and get it once everyone was 'out of the way' (would have blocked everyone if I had got it while they were there!). Had to do a bit of playing with contrast etc to bring out the writing, but again am quite happy with the result *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
wow, Thats great Sheepie!!!
hmmm... makes me lust after a gradND filter New page
