Gotta love having subjects like this 15min from my house

The funny thing is that I've lived here for 20years and never realised that they had Kangaroos up at Churchill National Park. I've even been on a school field trip there for Biology, never recall seeing them there. Perhaps they were introduced I don't know.

Well it's called Kangaroo Track. They do have some Black Wallabies in the area which I've seen, and which have also scared the shit out of me because they usually dart past you when you least expect it.

I'm pretty sure it was a fairly young kangaroo. There were quite a few packs of them, they got really active around 5pm and it would of been great there later but I had to be back by 6pm as I was going out. There were some big males in the area. Was quite annoyed because when I first walked through the gate, I didn't have my camera out and I didn't expect them to be down so low in the hill. I turned and caught this huge grey male that reared up. I quickly tried to get the 70-200VR out but as soon as I got it attached the camera and ready to shoot he started to hop away. Must of frightened him with the pure size of it

If I had boots on I would of probably gone after him. Just a bit nervy about going into knee high grass without decent leather 12ups. Probably get a few Copperheads and Red Bellied Blacks up at Churchill. Although I haven't seen any up there yet. Have seen snakes at Jells Park, and spoken to the Park Rangers and they informed us they were Copperheads.

I have mine on order (TRIPOD LEG WRAPS - 1¼") with Birddog114 at the moment.

1 1/4" / 31.75mm set of wraps fits tripods such as: Bogen 3021, Manfrotto 055 series and Gitzo G1325, G1327, Inter Pro Studex Models # 340, 341, 342, 345, 346, 347.

 BTW Kipper, The phase of the day for you is "Value adding". You have to purchase the spikes seperately just like the LCF-10 and the L-bracket etc

Whilst I agree with your analogy in some respect Birddog for paying for extras, like I said previously it's not like selling a car with/without A/C. In my eyes it's more like selling a car without tyres.

A set of rubber and spikes should come stock standard with a tripod imho. If you want big rubber feet the size of a teaplate, then fair enough pay extra. Or magnetting or suction tripod feet. Yeah these could come in handy on pitching decks Then yes, you should pay extra.

It comes with standard rubber feet same as standard wheel and tyres on the car, if you want a set of mag wheel with low profile tyres then please add extra cost on. Nothing for free in this earth my friend!
