Dont call me a bum photographer ;)Ok, so theres a fairly prominent bum in both these pics, taken with the 105, but its not every day you spot a Koala in a tree beside the road. This one was about 20km west of Gunnedah this afternoon. I couldnt get as good a view as I wanted from the ground with the 180mm, so I put the 105 onto the D70, shoved it into my back pocket and climbed a bit up the tree, much to the amusement of passing motorists who probably didnt notice the Koala, just the strange man in the tree!
Both images are 1/500 @ f/9 with built in flash, which worked well, given the difficult lighting- very bright white clouds behind the subject. and this one as it shows the claws nicely Gordon
Wow! I don't know if I'm more impressed by the shot or by the fact that you climbed up the tree with the D70 hanging out of your back pocket OR by the fact that you spotted the thing sitting in the tree while you were driving past!
IMHO - Nice work!
Now Gordon, you are very lucky that little customer didn't PooP right on you in that second shot. Now that would of been a CRAP shot.
Sorry Gordo Nice shots. Mic.
