Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Well i'm back from NZ... I feel that my photos are very average, I was pretty rushed to go through everything, so photography became a third priorty :lol:

Anyway, all the photos are located HERE

Let me know what you think, I do realise there's a few things wrong with most photos, but I am still happy with a few of them, and thought some of you like might to see.

Nothing wrong with them mate! Love the colours, and the scenery is of course spectacular :) Am so looking forward to getting home at Christmas this year!

Hi Tommo, Love the pics... We were there only about a month ago and makes me wish I was back.

Your Haast Pass picture looks amazingly like Arthurs Pass. :?

Love those shots mate... especially the composition and colours of the last one... Looks pretty similar to when I was there a few years ago...

I'm hoping there's a few more pics still to come Tommo! That's not many for the area you covered!
I'm sure MHD will be pleased to see you had gloomy conditions for Milford - I reckon those conditions just add to the incredible feeling you get there. Looks exactly like it did the day we went! hehe

Great Thommo, really crisp & well composed.

I like how big the images are and on a nice clean uncluttered background.

I don't have a website.. just decided to host the photos there, as I have all my cousins/relatives/friends asking for photos of my trip - so I figured a central link was easier 8) I just made a easy HTML page.

I had a fantastic time... brilliant over there, very relaxing, and the scenery is breathtaking.. I feel it's very hard to capture shots to show how amazing it is... very hard without taking panaromac shots everywhere I went :lol:

I've got plenty more photos, just haven't had time to sort through them yet :) My driving trip of the South Island included:

Day 1: Christchurch to Lake Tekapo.
Day 2: Lake Tekapo to Queenstown.
Day 3: Queenstown to Te Anau.
Day 4: Te Anau to Doubtful Sound & back.
Day 5: Te Anau to Milford Sound, and then to Wanaka.
Day 6: Wanaka to Greymouth via Glaciers.
Day 7: Greymouth to Christchurch via Arthurs pass.
Day 8. Chrischurch.

Hey Tommo, these are great pics mate i wouldn't complain about them at all great colours. Seen some of sheepies mates there too.LOL

Great images there Tommo - u should be proud of your efforts. NZ is somewhere I am wanting to go, I have a friend getting married there in the future (not sure when) and if I can find a cheap enough flight I will shoot her wedding AND go sightseeing and have a holiday at the same time! :) Loved your shots!

great photos mate, NZ is such an awesome country. brings back fond memories of a trip in 2002 I did there.

I especially like your lake tekapo photo.

Arthurs pass ... holy crap i now regret not doing that drive!

We had milford sound on a blue sky perfect day ... flew in through the sound, landed, then took the boat, then flew back to queenstown up over peaks and across frozen lakes etc, then dropping deep down into valleys before accelerating back up over snowy peaks. Christ it was good.

Damn! what have you done, I need to delete my travel agents phone number and hide the visa card.

Fantastic pictures. I'm off to NZ in August for a couple of weeks, and doing some heli boarding as well.

You have managed to truely capture the amazing dept of secenery from New Zealand. It is an amazing place. Anybody thinking about going....GO :!: :!: :!: The place will blow your mind. If you love snow...all the better, kicks the arse out of Aussie ski fields.

Hey Tommo. Could you give me a quick run down on the sort of gear you are using for those shots. I'd like to get into a bit of that style myself. Am buying my d70 with Tax return in july. :wink:

Just a standard D70 and a Kit Lens (18-70) mate, nothing else. Didn't require a tripod while I was over there. I have a second telephoto lens, but there's no point. I must admit, I'd LOVE to have a really wide angle lens and go landscape shooting, it would yield some great results.
