Matt,
really like it, nice change from frame filling moons. I could see this in the Guggenheim with people drinking champagne while admiring it. Your shot of the RAV is really impressive too, you do cars very well Neat, but not in the middle Actually looks a bit like the rule of thirds

Make up your mind! Is it a Rav, or a car? (I do know the answer, btw) g.

Gary, I definitely know that it is not a car. Most 4wd (excluding Porsche cars & Subaru cars) don't really have the dynamics to be called a car. Driving 4wd's always amazes me that people give them to their wives as a "safe" car, can't think of anything further from the truth.
Glen,
Exactly. And given the high CoG of these vehicles, I'd venture to say that many drivers simply don't understand what that does to the dynamics of the vehicle, especially when changing direction. And there was a minor article I heard on the radio this morning: the highest concentration of 4WD ownership in NSW is in Mosman, where there are no unsealed roads. That comes as no great surprise, mind you ... g.

Makes it a hell of a lot tougher to run over the kids at school crossings. They just duck ... damn! I forgot. The duck's still off! g.

Fact 1: 4WD vehicles have gained in popularity over the last 10 years.
Fact 2: Volvo has seen a comparitive reduction in sales over the last 10 years. Coincidence? I think not. Steve.

And especially if the driver's wearing a bowls uniform and hat.
Look too for a packet of Kleenex on the dash (or rear shelf of a sedan); it's a sign of a converted Camry driver. g.

Damn Dargon! You got me there! 740. Best car ever made. Mine is nearly 18 years old and still drives better, feels stronger, and is soo damned comfortable, that it beats most of the junk on the road today. Would'nt be suprised to discover it was really manufacturerd by NIKON.
Just know this is going to get hot. Regards

This is extremely freaky MattK. That was a throwaway line and yet of course I do drive one of these 'magnificent' vehicles. OK, OK GregB can now go away and weep real tears of laughter. By way of explanation I have owned a lot of vehicles (eg; every French marque) but have a lot of respect for Volvo engineering, I am a rationalist in the car stakes now. I am also assuming we are in the same age cohort though, given the cost of this 'hobby' it is not surprising I guess. The similarities are interesting in themselves I guess. Perhaps its time for an avatar change. Any of you readers see the Konnisegg Volvo 0-100kph in 3.2 seconds, you can't build something like that without a modicum of engineering knowledge, only problem is that Ford owns the shop now, and I find them focused more on marketing than engineering excellence.
In the end we know Nothing, but in the meantime Learn like crazy.

Without wishing to disappoint, my question to Matt was more a reflection of his compositional preferences than his vehicular preferences.
The fact that it fitted in with the Volvo driver thing was entirely fortuitous. I don't know what a Konnisegg is, I can only assume it is what a Konnis lays. Greg - - - - D200 etc
