Hi & welcome to the forum - we can always do with another Queenslander!

Nice pix, although I can see a fair bit of noise, and also some moire evident in #1 and #2 particularly. The perspective in those two shots leads me to believe you were in a balloon - is that right?

Can you give us any details of equipment and exposure?

Very good aerials.........some more detail if you could, IE camera from plane or balloon exposure, did you use photoshop?.........ground pix needs the verticals to be corrected a bit, ie perspective, so they do not lean as much, then you have a good pix or have them lean a lot, then you have an unusual good pix........

well done

cheers Big Pix PS welcome, Queensland needs all the members we can get.....

D-70 with a 12-24 Nikkor for all 3 shots. The only treatment in Photoshop was to crop and scale. Not sure about unsharpening etc.

The first 2 shots are from balloon (my office) :D

These are very interesting and nicely done shots, Steve, especially the aerial shots. The ground level shot looks a little dark to me, mainly because most of the buildings are in shadow. Good effort. :)

Steve - I like the aerial shots, especially #1 with the balloon shadow showing on the building

The ultimate aerial camera platform! Bottom shot you were shooting against the light and for general views that will nearly always give you a lower quality image. For some subjects it can enhance the image. Early morning and late afternoon are best times and maybe a polarising filter might be a good investment.
Looking forward to seeing many more images from your office!
If you hire your baloon for joy flights then maybe advertise some photographic flights?
Regards

Hi again Steve

I notice you have now posted smaller images, and this has made a lot of difference to the noise & moire that I first saw in the larger images.

From the link on your pix, I was able to visit your web site.
Balloons regularly fly over my house (on the river at Teneriffe). Is this you?(click pic for larger image). What about the one in my avatar?

The red white and blue one is the one. I'll have to turn it around the right way next time I head past your window

G'day,
These are great, I love your office!!! Can see the shadow of your office on an office building, you could probably "dodge" that area once selected if you wanted to remove the shadow... Would also try some shadow lightening(?) in the third on the buildings in the foreground...

Gotta say I like these... Terrific perspective... It must be so calm up there... I like micro-lighting, have been hang-gliding a few times and it's such a buzz being up there, especially as I'm terrified of heights... Never been ballooning though, would love to try it.

Cheers...
