Sigma 30mm F1.4 any news?Hi all,
Any scoop on the sigma 30mm f1.4? Is it available yet? How much? Would be a great fast normal lens for dslr.
Sorry, I have no ideas at this stage. Birddog114

THis would make the perfect range for lowlight indoors ambient light photography. I find the 50mm a little bit long when you want to include more than one person, or even more than their face.
dooda, Go for the Nikkor AF-D 35/f.2, it's cheaper, perhaps few dollar more than the 50/1.4 or same price. Birddog114

Thanks for that Birdie. I'll check it out.
(One day I'm going on a trip to Sydney, I'm going to save my money and buy a bunch of stuff from you down there.) Hey, are you getting some more Epson p2000's in stock?
Yep I find the same thing dooda. A 30MM / 35MM with F/1.4 or F/2.0 will provide the equivalent of about 50MM after the crop factor. With my 50MM F/1.4, I always find it hard to have more than 1-2 people in the shot. Unless you're standing 4-5M away Which is sometimes impossible when you're say at a family party indoors trying to take a photo of everyone.
