5.04.2005 Picture of the WeekThis weeks picture is by Oneputt, chosen because of the simplicity and great colours on one level, but when looking closer you can see the detail in the skin by the use of the 60mm macro Nikkor. Nice shot Oneputt.

Great choice there Glen. I liked this shot a lot also, and as you say it's simplicity is what makes it. The difference of the two greens really show a unique contrast that you (well I wouldn't) really think about if 'planning' the shot. Well done oneputt and well done Glen on a great choice.
Geoff.

Nice shot.
Reminds me of the statue of a 3" green frog that my sister had sitting on her toilet up in Darwin. Every time I used the toilet for about two weeks, it would be sitting there on the top of the cistern. Well, I thought it was a statue until the day it leapt across the bathroom! Cheers Matt
Agree with this choice completely I thought this was POTW material when I saw it posted, but thought it may have been too late in the week.
Well done - love the colour, the detail, the frog! It's a monster! When does a frog become a toad? Anyone know? *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
Great shot oneputt, beautifully taken. The frog's family would be very proud.

If you kiss it, does it turn into some nice prints?

POW on Maxwell's siteDon't want to throw a spanner into the works, but when I click onto the Maxwell D70 users forum site, it shows an image by Sheepie as POW, with the same date as Oneputt's. Just thought you should know ...
That's not a major concern, and it'll probably continue to do that until the site ceases to exist.

That site won't be updated; try using the correct URL and see if it still demonstrates the same issue. g.

Great Litoria shot.
Litoria Infrafrenata, the giant green tree frog, but I don't know whether that's what that one is. A great photo regardless. Those into frogs can see a great web site for all Tasmanian frogs, with sounds, here. Adam. Share what you know, learn what you don't.
