Whats the current status on these babies? Just taken a look at the website and lists no estimated backorder delay however when you place an order it says "out of stock".

I would think the best way to find out is to ask the source as I doubt anyone on the forum would have insight to stock levels IMO

I guess Chris, just wanted to know if anybody recieved stock recently or had placed an order and had run into similar problems. The only way to speak to the source is via phone and seeing as it's late I didn't really want to bother doing it.

I do know of one member who ordered early January and has still not received the ballhead - I would surmise that they are so sloooooooow

Kipper, I oredered mine in January, RRs were away Jan, they sent one two weeks ago, it got lost in the post, stock is hopefully coming in on Tuesday and mine will be posted then. Birddog is in regular contact with RRS and regularly places orders with them.

I ordered the lever release version recently... it was listed on the site with quite a long backorder, but then when I submitted the order (by fax, with another item, but specifying that I only wanted the order shipped as one package and would wait for the ballhead to become available), it shipped straightaway. :) PS: I also asked a couple of questions via fax, and found them to be quite prompt with replies.

And for other members:
I have established the link between our D70Users forum and RRS.
Now RRS recognized our D70Users forum on their board, so please don't hesitate to quote the D70Users on your order form by email/ fax, so they may quick reply/ or attention to your questions & orders.

Edit: Always request shipping by USPS/ EMS not the UPS
