Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Mal I like it and would imagine you had a few good captures either side of this moment. I would prefer a little more seperation between which is why I say either side of this moment, but you take what you can, these guys don't look like the sort of guys you ask to pose for you
Glen I was actually working when I was taking these pictures. So no I did not have time. I was very lucky in that these guys (actually Mum and daughter) where so close the the truck that we were in. You can actually see the paint from the car on the horn of Mum

Glen it was the Rangers car at Werribee. I am really hoping for another work trip there this year. One of the advantages of my job is that you get to go were the general public don't go.

If only they were both standing more backward with their horns touching, facing a bit more head on and you could see both their eyes. That would be a brilliant shot. Well done on this one. Mic.

You must get such a buzz working with magnificent creatures like this... When a few of us D70 members went on the Werribee photo shoot, you couldn't really get a true idea of their sheer bulk until they were near something you could scale them against... Until the mum stopped the bus! Great photo too, love the symmetry, would have been nice to see the young'ns eye but are you gonna argue with 'em? I ain't  Aka Andrew
Totally agree Mudder, we were sitting in the back of a Hi-Lux truck. Mum came over and her head was right next to the tray. I tried to get a shot off but needed a "Macro" lens she was that close. It really was an awesome experience.
I was luck enought to have a similar day today, we were working with Koalas and Dingos.  Photos comingMal
