My Hol's (Dial-up Beware) Part IIJust to finish the Whitsunday adventure story off......
A couple more criters we found on an island (long island) My wife (Diana) defining relaxation And finally..... THE END... Thanks for taking a look and again all critiques/comments greatfully received Cheers, Craig
Craig my friend - the pic of Diane has great composition, colour is great and could certainly be used for holiday publications
But, the last one, we will talk Chris
-------------------------------- I started my life with nothing and I’ve still got most of it left
Great shots Craig,
The second last is great, very dreamy feel & relaxed feel too. The last I really like, would be a great ad for the resort. I reackon fix up the disturbed sand under the right hand glass and sell it to them I need a holiday ( you lucky man ) What lens did you use for these shots. Mic.
hehehehe ... looking forward to that talk Chris Thanks for the rest of the feedback everyone much appreciated. Mic, I had 3 lenses with me the 17-55, 70-200 & the 85. Most shots are with the 17-55 and the 70-200. I don't think any that I posted were taken with the 85mm Cheers, Craig
Terrific shots Craig. I can see Diana's really hating this gig as your assistant!

Yes, thanks Alistair, it wasn't very hard to take. How long did you hire the Yacht for? We went with a motor cruiser for 4 days before we did the resort thing and I was simply an amazing experience living on the water. There is a sunset at Sawmill Bay image in the other thred I started. Depending on where you sailed you may reckognise where it is. Cheers, Craig
I've sailed a few times in the Whitsundays. Last time we hired a 32 footer for a week. We started at Hamilton Is. and then south to Brampton Is., and then back up to Long is. and then to Whitehaven beach. We had an agreement to take the boat to Brampton which is normally out of the rental area, and with 5 metre tides I can now see why it's not inthe rental zone. I actually saw my neighbor's yacht on its side up on a reef one morning. The relaxing thing about Palm Bay is being roped in for the night... no nightmares about drifing off from your anchorage into the night. Oh.. and using the pool! I'll fish around for your Sawmill Bay pic. Alistair
sorry the other pics are here ... http://forum.d70users.com/viewtopic.php?t=4490 yes the pool is very good Craig
I love the 3rd and 4th pic... The 4th pic you could use on the front of a DVD slideshow of your best images. Anyway to go off topic a little. Do you need any experience or boating license to hire one of these? I think it woudl be an amazing holiday sailing around the reef. Cheers, W00DY Andrew
Nikon D3 and lot's of Nikon stuff!!
No, you don't need a boating license to hire them. There is a 10 knott govener on them so you can't go that fast. We had about half a days briefing and a little trial run with someone on board too make sure your not a goose behind the wheel. Then we were off. It was sensational. Something special or unique happens every day (or night). I'd definitely recommend. Cheers, Craig
Fantastic pics! The third one of your wife is great....oh to be relaxing in the sun One can only wish!!
Great work from a beautiful part of the world!
Great shots, love the one of your wife. Like everyone said, it sort of has that holiday getaway show feel to it. Maybe to improve it you could do something with the palms/beach/sky. Because it's overcast it sort of lacks umph, maybe replace the sky with a nice blue sky and bring out the colors in the sand, sea and trees.
