Tokina 12-24I might get coupa of Tokina Zoom Super Wide Angle AF 12-24mm f/4 AT-X 124AF Pro DX, to see what the difference of it and the Sigma + Nikon.
I've seen good review of this lens on other sites but want to try it. Price is similar to the Sigma 12-24, but unconfirmed. Birddog114

The Sigma is still in my favour cos I haven't seen the Tokina yet and Tokina is not so popular with us as the Sigma or Nikon. Birddog114

Yes, I know that, the Tokina is similar to the Nikon 12-24 and the Tokina 12-24 is DX, Sigma can be used in both type of camera. I have the Nikon 12-24Dx btw, but would like to see anything in between them. The Tokina has few good reviews from DPR, and tried to search its spec. but could not find it yet in English. Birddog114

With the price tag from B&H and adorma, sure you'll receive a ransom note from the Boys in Blue, hehehehe

A few pics (53 MB of RAWs or 32 MB of jpgs) from the Tokina over at Nikonians: http://www.nikonians.org/dcforum/DCForumID17/1274.html
The last bloke there makes a very interesting point; I'm not so hung up on filters anymore, so am leaning towards the Sigma, unless the Tokina comes up optically better. The Sigma is only 1/3 stop slower at 12 mm, and I'm not so worried about that. Nothing I'm seeing is convincing me to go with the Nikkor option I'm afraid (sorry Stubbsy ).
