Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Play time in SydneyNearly the worst possible scenario - looking practically into the sun, but I like the feel of these two:
Taken from Kurnell - looking back towards the city over Botany Bay and the airport. *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
I think they're great Sheepie. Without the sun in that position, you wouldn't have been able to achieve that "chinese lantern' look through the sail of the catamaran not nab that sharp silhouette of the jet-skier.

Rules are meant to be broken!. These two excellent shots are the proof. For me, I'd have used a tighter crop on the second one.

Sheepie,
Yes, they work. On the second shot, do you any more image in front of the jet skier? i.e, to the rh side of the image? If you did, it might make a better image to crop to that side, making it look as though they're moving "into' the image, rather than "out of" the image, as is currently the case. g.

I like them both but my only thought would be to increase the saturation in the first pic’s sail area just to give it some more lift
