How are you finding the Canon 500D? I was thinking about getting one for the 70-200VR.
I was thinking for a macro arsenal in a years time I'll have the following: 50MM + BR-2A + BR-3 (maybe the BR-5?) 105MM Nikkor Micro or Sigma 150MM Macro 70-200VR + 500D How much did you end up spending on it? Darryl (aka Kipper)
Nikon D200

Hi
Hi Kipper, The 500D cost me about S$250. You can take macro with about any lens or setup. The issues, however, are always on how much magnification, working distance do you need and ability to select the background. The longer the macro lens, the better and of course, with a solid tripod. regards, Arthur
hiHi
thanks. I do hope the caterpillar to get to the stage of becoming a butterfly before it becomes food for the birds. In the meantime, it moving from one end of the tree to the next! I will have to find a way to restrict it to one areas so that i can have good clean leaves for Tom Yum Soup. regards, Arthur.
