Kerry,
If this has only just started happening it might be that your temp file cache is full - try clearing the cache (Tools > Internet Options > General and then "Delete Files" under Temporary Internet Files) and see what happens. Edit: And I should add when you clear those files, shutdown and restart IE
That would certainly be the best advice. g.

I've switched to Firefox as well, it coinsided with this site swapping host, so I'm not sure which one is the problem, but I used to click on the little orange tab to read new posts and when I hit the "back" button I would go back to the list and the tab was not orange anymore, now it stays orange until I hit the reload button. Is it Firefox or has something changed in this site?

Firefox is the best Use it for work as well as home. Try out the extensions, they're very useful.
I found the opanda exif extension for firefox, so if you want to view the exif in the image (provided that it's been saved) right click on the image and select view exif
Gerard, I have been using both Firefox and Thuderbird for ages now. I can recommend both. I have used 3 ISP's since I first started with Thunderbird, and it was worked fine with all of them.
As has been said there are some cool extensions and themes that can be used with both. Regards Meicw
