Panoramic Surf ShotTook these images in sequence yesterday at McCauley's Headland, wondered what to do with them and decided to have a go at panoramicisation (?), had to make use of a fair bit of healing/clone tools but it came out OK I think. Any comments welcomed. Max

The colour is pretty dull on the screen but take away the severe web compression and the green ocean is pretty cool, Max

JD, I'll post the separate images, I wasn't sure how much of the "join" to get rid of as I wasn't sure how to do the wave, will have to experiment a little, Max

I love the images you caught but not too keen on the pano. It is a top sequence and I reckon the second image is my poster pic.
Did you see the housing for a D70 that went begging on e-bay earlier today? Cheers, Craig
Common old garden variety Tamron 70-300mm @F6, cheapie, but then again, I'm not going to take an expensive lens into the water! President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Yes, it's the same bloke from a few months back, I was about to leave the rocks when I noticed him heading out and so I stayed! Actually, the board got mangled in the stitching, I re-did the nose for the image on the left, it was completely gone, but left the other nose. In fact, if you look hard enough the board on the left has a crinkly nose, couldn't quite get it perfect, but we tried...Max President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

1600 for camera, housing, kit lens and a UV filter. I have spoken with him since and he would sell seperate ... camera gear for 1300 and housing for 500. I will be having a look at it tomorrow if anyone is interested to know more.
Cheers, Craig
Does anyone know if it's possible to get waterproof D70 gear for longer lenses? (Or any camera in that matter)

Max , after a little research there is only one place i can see which makes camera housings to accommodate the D70 camera here is the link:
http://www.oceanearth.com/bruderphoto.htm It does'nt speculate which lens that is compatable with but judging by the picture of it, it would'nt support much more than the kit lens 18-70mm (but you certaily would'nt need anything bigger anyway, considering your in the water with the subject). Let me know what you think mate! Respect to those who click!
Click,
the site looks really good, the products seem good, thanks for the post. The link to the online store wasn't working so I couldn't gauge the prices, the carbon fibre looks quality. Cheers, Max President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)
