D50 review from Ken RockwellBirddog114
VNAF, My Beloved Country and Airspace
Ken is certainly first on the block with a review. He does state that he hasn't seen the camera, but I find it a bit hard to review something which relies on image quality when you haven't seen an image from it.
Glen,
As do I. Especially the lens. he seems to think the lens is satisfactory, and maybe it is. Or maybe it's not. But until one has a play with one and can see the results, how would one know? g.

scary, seems i was on that review at a similar time to you birddog... are you following my browsing habits?

I think it was a review of the manual.
Either way, it should give the Canon dribble a run for its money. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

Ken really makes me laugh... I'm sure he knows his stuff, but reviewing stuff you haven't seen / used is a little strange... He also has a review of the 1.2 NOCT lens - that he also admits he's never seen... Cheers, John

This should be a poll... Do you like the black or silver version? Is silver the new black? I will stick with black...

I really dislike the silver personally . . . It's the same with A/V equip. Silver is the latest thing lately and I can't stand it. . . It seems like 'silver is the new black' every 15 years or so for a few years. Then everything goes back to black. Even the older black stuff still looks good, but the older silver stuff always looks dated. The only exception for silver IMO is when it's genuine metal. I'd dig an aluminum, with contrasting black rubber, bodied D70. Mebbe call it the D70S-Al (hint-hint nikon ) -Rich
I think, judging by the date of your posts ( 20th ) and him saying he played with one on the 21st that he has updated this review. PlatinumWeaver / Dean

I suppose every one is entitled to his/her opinion but a quote from Ken's review of the D50 kit lens the 18-55:
I already own the $1,000 - plus 17 - 35 mm AF-S and I'd still prefer this lens for use on my digital camera due to the lighter weight and longer zoom range.
