I learned about my D2x more than a month now and am waiting for the D3x Birddog114

Very informative review. After trying birddog's on Saturday, I was impressed by its speed, resolution and intelligent interface. It feels like a real pro's camera. What's with Nikon's ridiculous attitude to WB encryption? Thom feels that this alone will be enough to sway many professionals over to the c-word camp.
To quote the learned man: Nikon, are you listening?
The pics from the new D3x will be used compulsory with Nikon software only no other third party software can open or view its pics, same as Canon 2Ds Mark III I want one now! Birddog114

I like this part of his review:
As an aside, I do think Nikon should seriously think about making a version of this camera without a few features: drop the vertical grip (ala the F6) and you have a more comfortable camera (smaller and lighter) for long periods of shooting while traveling. I'd be willing to part with a other features to get the price down some more (High speed crop, WT-1/WT-2 support, etc.). In short, a D2x Jr. would be an incredible addition to the lineup, and every pro that's got a D2x would be purchasing one as a backup body Hmmm, D200 has a nice ring to it
That review is so freakin' long and comprehensive. Most of it was his speculation as to what direction Nikon may be heading with future sensor design - given their past. While as a fellow Nikon shooter I'm optimistic Nikon has explored a variety of sensor technologies and stand in a better position for future product development, I realise it's also blind speculation from Thom, as neither he nor any other person associated with the company or their design team has contributed to the words on the review.
I'm anticipating a flood of emails to Thom's inbox and he'll soon have an update on that review, clarifying some of the claims he's made... as Bjorn did when his D2X review was published on the first day of the NDA expiry.
