Monopod Heads

Postby tsanglabs on Wed May 04, 2005 1:35 pm

Just wondering what other members use on their monopods in terms of heads.

I am looking for a head to put on my monopod, but I don't want a ball head and it needs to have a Dove tail QR plate.

Thanks in advance.

A mate has one on his which was made for a video camera. It is long and has a slide which enables him to position the weight wherever he wants it, which is a great feature when trying to maintain a very still position.

He is in HK at the moment but I will get the model number for you. It is a Manfrotto.

hmmm.. Looks very intresting birddog. I have had trouble trying to find a head that had a dove tail QR & was not a ball.

I'll checkout the manfrotto site as well, Oneputt.

Thanks

Manfrotto or Gitzo never make one with dove tail QRP.
I have searched them before in the last 5 years.

My Manfrotto 679B monopod has a manfrotto 234RC head on it and works well (the RC has a QRP)

I have this set up and i reckon it's great. Don't forget you will need the L-Plate for the D70 so you can fit it to the RRS clamp.
