Do you think I could sign up each of my kids? They have their own St Geroge accounts in their names....would this work do you think?
I think I read somewhere that you have to be over 16 to open an account...

I've just signed up my 3 children 17, 16, 12 + my wife with ING.
The smart way they do: is giving you up front $123.00 but requested you to sign up a periodical direct debit from your existing bank account in weekly, monthly basic.
And sign the printed form, send it in with your newest bank statement from your existing bank account, before they can activate your account.
I don't know this is correct or not?
The difference of our client number in between the first sign-in and the last sign in (04 signed in) is 14985, from 7:26:36 PM - 7:54:49PM, is it means in half hour it had 14985 sign-ins?
If it's the case, how many people signed in today with ING?

The periodical direct debit isn't compulsory though is it Birddog... It isn't normally... It's just an option you can use to "structure your savings"

I signed up for myself, my wife and my daughter, but I opted not to have any monthly withdrawals, instead I will transfer whenever I want.

That probably shows how effective their little marketing campaign has been today - smart operators...

Thanks guys,
I let my big boy did it so he let it go the way he thought, but not too worry, we can change it later once the account is set up.

Maybe their next compaign should include something along the lines of:
"Exploited by the crew at DSLRUsers.com!"

My first sign up was at 10.00 am, my last one was at 8.12pm, the difference was 277066.
That's about 34 mil.

Actually Birddog, I think $123 will get me an average Monopod.

If you can sign up 10 accounts then it's enough for the Sigma 70-200 HSM APO

hmmm interesting offer, thanks for posting!
certainly looks pretty good ... (and theres no minimum balance to earn the full interest rate which beats one of the bankwest account ive got!)
Speaking of accounts, who do you have CC with? Im with commonwealth, however theyve recently halved their rewards scheme when converting to FF points. (I use visa to route almost all purchases through to avoid eftpos, earn points, and reconcile weekly via netbank.)

My fiancee and I set up an account each today so we have earnt just under $250.
Not bad but we will also be keeping one of the accounts.
We are looking for somewhere to put our spare money (my wage) once we finish paying for our oct wedding.
Its amazing how much money you can put aside when you need to (the wedding).
So we have decided that instead of getting into old habits we will still put my wage aside each week. The ING account with its great interest rate and no fees is the perfect option. And also harder to get at the cash when thinking about impulse buying.

Well an update. I just checked and I recieved my $123.
Plus being the end of the month I have recieved interest. 0.15c!
More than I have got from any standard bank savings account, combined for my whole life.
