Macro with 800mmThought I would post a shot about doing things the hard way. Noticed this flower growing on my neighbours wall about 7 metres in the air. Too high for the macro but thought it could be seen from my rear deck so got out the Nikon 400 5.6, added the Nikon 2X TC and voila. The flower is about 4-5 cm across.

You only needed a 1" high bird sitting on the flower to tempt a certain member Nice shot Glen Chris -------------------------------- I started my life with nothing and I’ve still got most of it left
 Glen,
Nice shot, but next time try and see into the neighbors window and snap me one of those other flowers. Don't get caught though, we don't want to name you Peeping Glen.
Or thru an opened windows with a beauti woman is changing clothes! or something make me wake up all night Birddog114

 mic,
Now you know why I wanted big zoom lenses with fast f. and VR. So I can cut and run easy if get caught red handed without a tripod And it's the main reason why most men want the big zoom Last edited by birddog114 on Thu May 12, 2005 3:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.

This is why I so want the Sigma 800 F/5.6 or Sigma 300-800 F/5.6. But the price tag brand new is a bit out of my reach. Check out the lovely detail in the feathers on this tiny bird. Darryl (aka Kipper) Nikon D200
