Best/favourite photograph ever?I was reading the discussion about the Challenge theme today, and one of the posts included a picture by Cartier-Bresson of a man about to jump into a puddle. I've never seen this picture before, and the poster said it was one of C-B's most famous shots. This got me thinking - I wonder what other people regard as the best, or their most favourite, photographs of all time (work by members of this group excluded!). I'd be very interested to know, and even more interested if a web link could be provided to show the work.
Here's my favourite: "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico" by Ansel Adams. I never get tired of looking at this shot, and the story behind the taking of the shot is fascinating. Hope others will post their favs Frank My photo gallery: http://www.frankalvaro.net

Hi all,
here is my favorite picture and photographer. I have this large print framed against my living room wall and love it. His pictures are very.. moody, I simply love his work.. Take care http://www.genesisfineart.com.au/poster ... html#IMAGE Thanks, Trevor
Andy Rouse..not just for his gorgeous wildlife photography but he's a kack as well!
Can't pick a fave pic, I have too many! http://www.andyrouse.co.uk BTW - he's a Canon shooter..sorry! =] Ooh ooh..he did give the D70 a rave review though (loved the ergonomics and the film-esque grain/noise) so that kinda makes him cool!
I could look at any one of Ansel Adam's photographs for hours, but one of my current favourites is Charlie Waite. He's definitely one of our (I mean England's) finest landscapers.
He has some very nice stuff, Soulboy Frank My photo gallery: http://www.frankalvaro.net
