Dave,
number 2 is a ripper. That red leaf really jumps out, and the DOF is just right. It's a shame some detail has been lost on the bottom half of that leaf, but otherwise I really like it. Number 1 doesn't do much for me (still nice), and I like the third shot - nice and sharp and pleasant colours, although I'd crop out the entire blue background. Well done. Really like the first and second shots, third I'm not sure on...
Great lines in #1, takes me right through the entire frame, hmm be tempted to maybe drop a bit off the top... The colour in #2 is stunning... Is the red channel clipping or is it just me or my monitor, I lose definition... But wow, amazing colours... Really enjoyed 'em... The simplicity in #1's my fav... Cheers. Aka Andrew
thanks Guys. The red leaf is how the camera processed it. Quite saturated, and I'm not even using extra saturation "in-camera". I tried desaturating the red channel a little in PS, but didnt like how it looked so thought I'd leave it how it was shot.
The first pic, I tried to take a different perspective....which I really like, however I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone. I have a couple more that I'll post when I finish PP them... Dave
