Any know anything about DVD Video Cameras?

Postby Neeper on Tue May 17, 2005 12:20 pm

I bought a wicked Sony DVD-R Camera. It has 5.1 surround sound recording, wide screen... blah blah. It's quite PIMP.

But I wanted to know something, I hope someone can help me with. Normal mini DVD's on standard recording allows 30 mins of recording. On long play it allows one hour. Is there a noticable quality loss with the 1hr? Anyone know?

Not 100% sure but whether not you notice a loss of quality using longplay is going to largely depend on what you are playing the video back with.

i.e. If you use a hi definition capable display you probably will notice a loss in quality although I am sure it will be very slight.
