My camera was hostage taking pictures of budget Break and mufflers all around BC and I haven't had access to my camera for a while. When my dad and bro got back I told them that it might be best to buy me out as I've moved and no longer have immediate access. Today a rain storm recently ended and at dusk I was attracted to the light qualities in the water. After 25 seconds it was the sky that blew me away and the water seems so-so comparitively. This must be the 10th picture I've posted here taken from this balcony. The red light on the left is residue from the city.

Great as is, but IMO the effect would be even greater if you crop a little sky off of the top with a more pano look as a bonus.

yeah, but a new cam is cool though. Got to save a little money though (and I was hoping to get a new Epson p2000 next). It will be nice not having to share a camera with them. It really was a bit of pain only having it on weekends.

Yeah, Albertans and British Columbians mix like a Nikon Lens on a Canon body. I sort of like the Albertan American Cowboy style of economics, with the BC sense of green protection (it will never happen). As long as the Liberals stay in power we should be all right.

You know Ozimax, I really don't think so as I used a tripod and was pretty sure i had it completely level, but I find that sea shots around here can be a little deceiving as the land juts into it making it look crooked. I had a problem with a lighthouse picture once, when I fixed the horizon the lighthouse leaned, and when I made the lighthouse straight the horizon leaned, so i went with the light house as I realized that where the land comes into the horizon it threw me off. Could be wrong with this one though.

A fantastic image. I prefer the original, the cropping seems to reduce the imact of the menace build into such a dramatic sky.

Hey Dood, I still reckon that it needs to go 1.5 deg CW, but then again, maybe it's my eyes again? I've looked at photos for ages trying to determine whether or not they need straightening and can never make up my mind! Never mind...

Great shot tho', will have to visit up there one of these days, been as far north as Montana.

I just put it through and you're right, the horizon was off just a hair. Thanks for the recommendation (I tend to forget this sometimes which is a no-no when the ocean's horizon is involved.)
