Shadow QueryI have done a search because I am sure that this question has been asked before, but I tirned up nearly 1800 possibilitys
So I have just attached the Sigma 12-24 and taken some shots using the in camera flsah and there is a nasty shadow in the bottom centre of the image. It appears that the lens hood cannot be removed, so what is the answer?
Shoot more telephoto, or use a dedicated flash unit (SB600/800/etc). Or maybe ghetto reflector/bounce card setup? One of the perils of big wide-ish angle lenses and inbuilt flash I'm afraid, the 24-120 VR at 24 mm does this too if the lens hood is attached.

I'd like to be able to say that you bought the Sigma when you should have bought the Nikon 12-24 (which is smaller), but I have this problem with the onboard flash even with the Nikon My solution is my soon to be purchased SB800 - you already have that solution. Peter
