
So I have just attached the Sigma 12-24 and taken some shots using the in camera flsah and there is a nasty shadow in the bottom centre of the image. It appears that the lens hood cannot be removed, so what is the answer?

Shoot more telephoto, or use a dedicated flash unit (SB600/800/etc). Or maybe ghetto reflector/bounce card setup?

I'd like to be able to say that you bought the Sigma when you should have bought the Nikon 12-24 (which is smaller), but I have this problem with the onboard flash even with the Nikon ![]() My solution is my soon to be purchased SB800 - you already have that solution. Peter
