Don't worry Rob, Nicole or I will try and ID it for you later.
I'm about to head off to Jells Park to try and get some birds, so I'm in a bit of a rush.

Rob,

I like this photo a lot, I like the natural setting you have maintained, the leaves in front and the blossoms the dof works well with the subject, it's a Noisy Minor, a native bird that I have seen almost everywhere I have been.

Great shot, keep them coming I like birds and bird photos.

Yep - it's a Noisy Mynah (Manorina melanocephala). Not to be confused with the Indian (or Common) Mynah that has chocolate brown plumage.
This guy's native to Australia whereas the Indian is, not surprisingly, introduced and a real pest.

Terrific shot Rob!

sheepie
i had my 200/400vr with a 1.4 t/c and the metadata says... focal length 550.... f/5.6..... 1/500th sec

some sharpening and calculate whitebalnce automatically in nikon capture then i did a levels in cs and that is about it ! only got back last night so havent "messed" with it, i did a batch conversion of 870 nefs to jpg's just outside broken hill and it had 19 left when i got back to whyalla, i took some eagle pics but i have to see if their good enough to show my peers

cheers rob btw whats an easy way to copy metadata and paste here ?

I use Photools Imatch which is a photo organisation thingy (which I don't use well!) but also has some nice tricks like an EXIF reader which allows you to copy to the clipboard.
I also have a couple of utils to allow changing the EXIF, or viewing it, but none of these allow you to actually copy the text (which you'd think would be a common request!).

Nice Birdie Rob, like the colours. My tc on my 80-400 always says 400mm with the tc on so yeh not sure if it is the Nikon that tells you the right focal length as mine is Kenko. Yeh pain that we cant highlight and copy exif data at times.
