Maxwells Sensor Clean

Postby Oneputt on Tue May 24, 2005 6:26 pm

had my sensor cleaned today (the warranty clean) and it has come up absolutely spotless. They also cleaned the whole camera. Top job.

However after finding out what they normally charge for a clean I am definately going to learn to do it myself.

No where posted or stated. Just visit your local Maxwell Service in Melbourne and tell them. They will check and tell you if you're eligible or not, if not around $50.00 - $60.00/ hit.

Embi,

Camera Clinic in Collingwood. I never tried them, normally they charge $99 for this with camera being up to 48 hrs out of action.

I cleaned myself, but going to do a free clean a couple of month before the warranty expires.

I thought they would do a free clean for you.

Yes, they would. But the first time I did want to clean I didn't know about this freebie. So cleaned it myself. I will do a free clean before warranty expires so they can clean and calibrate other bits and pieces also just before it is out of warranty.
