File FormatsI want to get some enlargements done of some shoots I currently have in RAW format.
What is the best file format to use to take to the processor, probably Big W, without losing too much in quality. Is Tiff the way to go Print size I am looking for is 8x10 or 10x12. Barry D700, 50 1.8, 14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200VR, 80-400VR, SB800 plus a lot of gadgets
Not sure if Big W will process Tifs. Bring it in at full res 100% (no compression) jpeg. I printed out a 8x12 and the detail was fine...mind you it wasn't through Big W but through a photo lab
I highly doubt that Big W would touch a tiff, let alone if their photo-lab employees would know what one is.
Just save it as the largest size jpeg you can muster. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

Hi Barry, Jpeg is fine for 8x12's, i have a lot of these printed as most of my orders are for 8x12 and i take Jpeg files in and even the photo lab i go to dont take Tiff files as i have done so but no go. Jpegs at this size are fine.
