The first one looks really prickly... but nice close up .
The second one of the butterfly is a great picture, great use of DOF of the surrounding I guess. Hope my comments make sense Ben Yu

Kerry - IMO it would not matter what lens you used (even a milk bottle) every pic from your arsenal of lenses has been great. But, it is not the lens - it comes down to one finger on the right hand and an eye

Two great shots Kerry, especially the first one - that prickly detail is great, and I especially like the orangey (is that a real word ) background ... it adds another splash of colour without distracting from the main subject colours. Well done.
