Boys with Toys

Hi All, well started off wet but that didn't stop the boys and there toys today from heading to the track. Was a cold day but i braved it and did my usual, came home processed some 200+ picsand posted to website and gave the sensor a quick clean only has 1 big dust bunny on 1 edge now instead 15, but i can live with that. These pics was taken with the 80-400 VR+ Kenko TC, a bit slow on focus is some cases as you would expect but hey we have to try these things.
Well MotoX tomorrow lol hope it rains over nite settle the dust down.

Kerry i always use this mode AF-C as this is what i do most of really so when i am at the track AF-C is the go. Off to Junior MotoX shortly after my cuppa so will gove the sgma a work out today, and well it is sunny here today blue sky so yeh i am going to gave to watch out where i take pics or use flash for fill in some places.

you don't really have to rely on af for all your action shots
i still use mf for most of mine now, reduces any chance of mis focusing in differcult scenes.

Some of my mates have a race meet (cars) this weekend. Im pretty sure its a club-day type event, so will hopefully be able to get out on the circuit and make some pics. If they come out half as well as yours I'll be chuffed. Will post some if Im happy with any of them.

robboh Thanks well i wish you luck, it all comes down to practice but dont have your shutter speeds to high if you want that motion blur in the wheels. I use shutter speeds from 160 to 300 depend on the speed of the thing you are shooting. Will look forward to seeing how your pic turn out.
