Boys with ToysHi All, well started off wet but that didn't stop the boys and there toys today from heading to the track. Was a cold day but i braved it and did my usual, came home processed some 200+ picsand posted to website and gave the sensor a quick clean only has 1 big dust bunny on 1 edge now instead 15, but i can live with that. These pics was taken with the 80-400 VR+ Kenko TC, a bit slow on focus is some cases as you would expect but hey we have to try these things.
Well MotoX tomorrow lol hope it rains over nite settle the dust down. Cheers John Not the 1 above rest 80-400 Look close at this 1, there is 2 bikes. D3,D2x,D70,18-70 kit lens,Sigma 70-200mm F2.8EX HSM,Nikon AF-I 300m F2.8, TC20E 2X

John, that shot of the GSXR is sweet! Yup definitely AF-C when you're shooting action shots like that Learnt that the hard way pretty damn quick
looks great John,
you don't really have to rely on af for all your action shots i still use mf for most of mine now, reduces any chance of mis focusing in differcult scenes. Life's pretty straight without drifting

...is that because AF-S requires focus lock before the shot can be taken? Frank My photo gallery: http://www.frankalvaro.net

If I Can take shots like in a short period of time , i'll be laughing. When I get my camera i'm going to be flooding you and some other members with PM on how to take those shots. Ben Yu

Very nice!! Love the framing on the first one!!
Some of my mates have a race meet (cars) this weekend. Im pretty sure its a club-day type event, so will hopefully be able to get out on the circuit and make some pics. If they come out half as well as yours I'll be chuffed. Will post some if Im happy with any of them. Smile; it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
robboh Thanks well i wish you luck, it all comes down to practice but dont have your shutter speeds to high if you want that motion blur in the wheels. I use shutter speeds from 160 to 300 depend on the speed of the thing you are shooting. Will look forward to seeing how your pic turn out.
