Hey Matt, I am like Andrew, nice clean shots and is something different.

Canon EOS R6, RF 24-105 F4, RF 70-200 F4, RF 35mm F1.8, RF 16mm F2.8 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)
Matt: First one is great, lovely bokeh! The second and third ones are nicely composed, but the distortion ruins them IMO. Mind you I'm very sensitive to distortion, fisheyes send me dizzy, so it may not be too bad for someone else!
I too especially like the first one.
A question though if I may? The term bokeh, I think, means the blurring of the background, or background out of focus. My question is, is this a technical term or an abbreviation of something? I hope I'm not going to be too embarrassed by the answer. Cheers John

Can you please stop posting your everyday shots. I'm completely fed up with seeing them. Every time I think I'm getting better with the shots that I'm taking great time & effort to shoot and PP I see beauties like these and I get depressed again The first shot is just delightful. The detail in the black feathers and beautiful colour contrast with the grass just leap off the screen. The one of the art gallery is fine by me (didn't notice the distortion, but then I use a 12-24 DX ), but it seems a trifle dark to me. Peter

John Boke is a Japanese word, not an acronym. There's an interesting link on the spelling of boke here that is worth a read just for the sake of it. I've lifted a bit from there that more directly answers your question: This is from http://www.imaginatorium.org/stuff/cufilter.htm

I like the first 2 a great deal, Matt. The exposure and detail on the bird is very good. Quite impressive, IMO.
