I love this dog

I love taking photos of my dog, and he seems to like it...or atleast find it interesting. I tinkered with it in PS 7 until I couldn't stand the tediousness of it. What do you think? The next one is a photo of the water competition. It was all I could find at the last minute, but I thought it sort of works.

Again, I don't know why it wants to come out so huge when I stick it here. Here is my water photo. Looking at it so huge makes me think that my depth of field wasn't quite there. I love the silvery color of the reflection, it gives the water spirit, which was my goal.

Let me know if you can even see these photos. I don't really know what i'm doing and am guessing. Any suggestions are welcome

just letting you know that I can't see your photos. I'm not real sure, but all I did was click on the Img button, pasted the URL you can find when you right click on the image and look at the properties, then clicked on the Img button again

Your links, as posted, won't work, because they're referencing your internal server. That's the bit where it says "localhost", and it basically - and literally - translates to "the machine I'm on right now".

For you, that's fine, because that's where the files actually are, but for the rest of us ... well ... my computer is also looking, not on your system, but on "the computer I'm on, right now:. That is, my computer.

And for Tony, it's looking on Tony's computer, and so on.

There are a couple of steps you need to go through in order to post your images.


Step one is to find a public hosting facility; pBase, Smugmug, etc.

Once you're set up there, you can upload the images there for display, and then in here you just post a reference to the actual image file as it's displayed.

A couple of my dog and a couple of the area. Garibaldi Peak is in Squamish where I work. Please give me your most ruthless critiques as it is the only way I know that I can improve (most people say "nice photos").

Good, I like the tiny bit of red on the person on the bridge, I possibly would have suggested including a little bit more sky (which looks as though it is fairly dramatic).

I was especially interested to hear Matt's reaction to 336. I quite like this with the profile, but perhaps my relationship with the dog enhances my experience with the photo.

I wasn't trying to make 25 sepia, I was just trying to warm up the colors, the original was a little cold. Though halfway Sepia is what it looks like, I think that the original colors (orange brown and beige) helps that look along. It isn't deliberatly vignetted, but I enjoyed the effect as I played with photoshop and so I went with it as it It emphasizes the dog's glow. I think the original is slightly vignetted.. This was one of my first D70 photos (and definitly the first that I post processed). I find what makes the shot work for me is the lines on the bottom.

Shot 245 is perhaps one of my favorites. I have some others from this trip that I'll post here as well.
