Afterburner DVD at Gary Fong's

Postby Paul on Tue May 31, 2005 9:27 am

Recieved the usual Gary Fong info e-mail this morning and noticed this interesting little unit, slam in you CF card and burn DVD's on the move.
A little bit pricy at U$399 but there's also a U$259 CD version as well that suit us better.
Depending on your battery type I reckon there could be a few coasters made if the power drops.
Below is a copy of the E-mail write up.

Lightweight, runs on four AA Batteries - INSTANT DVD BACKUPS!
Burn DVD's directly! The Afterburner DVD copies your flash memory card directly to a DVD, no computer needed Simply insert your high capacity (1-4GB) flash memory card into the AfterBurner™,insert a blank DVD/CD-R or DVD/CD-RW and push one button. Within minutes, all your digital pictures will be downloaded on the DVD or CD.

There's also the Apacer Disc Steno but it has a built in rechargeable battery and a 9V DC in.
