Ever since I first saw the Lightsphere last year I have been checking Woolies out to make my own - this has given me new fervour to chase up an appropriate container

Not that I know anything about tupperware parties, but it's a way to involve the wife or husband (if they're into tupperware and not photography) with photography.
"I never knew you had so much interest in tupperware, honey..." -- Oh yeah.. heaps.. Between my SB-800, a Dremel, and the tupperware, I'm in heaven... Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

The tupperware has an extended use, see.
You can even get LS2's with built in colour casts for half the price! Have you got a green set, an orange set, a red set, a blue set, a yellow set... it's the LS2 for advanced users! Chris, it's geek humour. But think of the possibilties if someone took me seriously! Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

You know how people were using Pringles lids for WB presetting? And then they went and changed the Pringles lids?
Here's a use for the new ones - buy 20 of them, cut off the edges, and then paste them together to make a dome. Then tape the dome securely over your SB800, and voila - your own LS II for the cost of 20 packets of Pringles and a few hours labour. When I've made mine, I'll post the instructions with illustrations Photography is such a great hobby TFF (Trevor)

I think the tupperware would be less expensive and more stable.
Mind you, if you could make a computer case out of Pringle lids, motherboard tray and all, I would be impressed. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

Turbo cooled, of course. Much better than that (sexy) shiny aluminium one you're thinking about Peter

The colour of the tupperware is too clear, The LSII is similar to the original of the Nikon diffuser.
Same as the previously Pringle lid is more darker and the new type is clearer. The new Pringle lid won't do the right preset WB, and I suspect the clear colour of plastic of the Tupperware won't do justice. If you want to selfmade one correctly, matching the colour of the original Nikon diffuser. Birddog114
