Soccer (but no action)OK, I decided that taking shots of soccer action is best left to the pros. These more sedate images are from the minis this morning while my sone refereed.

Two great photos. I think you have captured a couple of wonderful moments. The human side of football.
Just goes to show that soccer isn't all about kicking goals. There's mind games as well. The second one could go with the 'neat and in the middle' though. Steve.

Thanks for everyone's comments. The first shot is a take on a photo I saw many years ago - it was of a goalie (from one of the African countries) at a World Cup match - taken through the net - similar backlighting and the net highlighted. It's one of those magic photos that sticks in your mind forever, and I suppose the idea of replicatig it has hung around for just as long.
