I just saw this on ebay...interesting. Some of you might be interested if so send the guy an email...

It looks simillar to a MB-D100 which I have though from the pictures I can tell it is not a modified MB-D100.

IMHO I don't see the need for this. I have 2 batteries, 1 nikon & 1 generic. They both last a long time. I have a 2gb card and with the upgrade installed it will handle 300+ shots in RAW mode or 582 in the highest jpeg setting and I can shoot that 3 times before I need to replace the standard battery. To me, it looks impressive but thats all.
Just an opinion!

You are right.. I posted as I hough it might interest some people. I remember lots of threads with battery packs and such.

I ran out of battery only once and the AA battery adapter was a godsend. But then I have a D100 not a D70.

The thing I like about these is the ease of vertical shooting, not the battery power.

Yes, it is not only for extra battery... But additional features such as: vertical shooting, more room for griping to D70 body, and balancing (zoom and body).... good to have one.

I note that the seller has now pulled this listing, and is selling them in bulk only.

looking around AU$300.00 + shipping is not worth it and who knows, it may not works correctly, I have never seen any proper review on these products, extra battery life: maybe but other features and functions still are my questions?
Happy with what you got and save up for the next model of DSLR.
