Finally in print!

Postby xerubus on Tue Jun 07, 2005 6:12 pm

Some of you may remember this thread where I attended yet another motor vehicle accident.

Well... finally a mva has paid off. I had a call from news ltd this afternoon and I will finally see some of my shots in full colour in the paper. A couple are being used in an article and printed tomorrow evening. :)

yay!!  it's nice to get a break every now and then... :)

will scan and post article at a later date.....

MCWB && Wacky... they approached me... which is nice. I had previously sent other shots which didn't make it to print... so i guess persistence paid off.

Congrats xerubus.

However, I'm confused.
You've previously submitted shots to them, and they contacted to ask you if you had any of this accident? Is that right?

Well done Mark...

I did happen to mention your photos at the News Ltd. photography desk...
(Just kidding, but I would have if I'd thought about it...)

I'm currently trying to get friendly with their Sydney photographers to see if I can tag along with them... Maybe I need to set my sights higher...
Cheers, John

I missed the beginnings of this thread but the benefit of that was seeing the article and photo without having to wait too long!
I remember seeing your bike crash photos previously so I'm not surprised you got picked up by the paper. Well done!

With the efforts you're putting in to your photojournalism I expect we'll be seeing quite a bit more of your work in various publications.

I'm curious...Do you know what the "XC" means below the photo in the article?

thankyou mate.. much appreciated.

Not sure what the XC means.... there was supposed to be a creditline to Mark Cross Photography there however there was an issue at printing time. I made sure that the next article they printed (posted in a different thread) definitely included the creditline... :D
