Preview ExtractorNot shore if this has been posted before but here go’s.
I was just put onto this great little programme, Thanks Hillsrain!! For those ho shoot in NEF + jpg STOP!!! This little pro extracts the JPG out of the NEF file on your PC so now it’s easy as to get a JPG file from your NEF files quicker than batch processing. http://drchung.new21.net/previewextractor/index.html If this has been posted before disregard!!!!!!! I've had this proggie for a while. It's what I use to check my shutter count. Pretty useful.

I’ve tried it & it works fine.
I intend to play around with it over the coming days so I will keep you posted here. Cheers Ray >> All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism<<
Open the image in Nikon Capture
Go to the white Balance tool box, in the top drop down list there is set Gray point, click on this. Now click on start, & find some thing in the image that is close to 50% grey & take a sample. Now there will be a red & Blue value. Copy & past them into the fields in FixNEF, that's it!!! Hope this helps. Cheers Ray >> All of us could take a lesson from the weather. Yeah mate
For CS Bring up the image & the color pallet, grab the eyedropper from the tools pallet & take a sample of a grey area from the image you should see the values on the Right of the color pallet. Cheers Ray >> All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism<<
Did anyone else have to install other DLL to get Preview Extractor to work. I'm running WinXP SP1.
I had to track down - mfc71.dll - MSVCP71.DLL - msvcr71.dll Then it worked fine. On the up side, I didn't need gdiplus.dll Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm
