Thanks Chris. Very enlightening. My MuddyPuddle cable connection registered a decent 1178 Kbps downstream but a shocking 65K Kbps upstream... only a shade faster than a 56K modem. I wonder if Optus' eagle is faster than Telstra's tortoise?

Hey, the test works with dialup.
Thought I'd share my results here for all to laugh at... I've currently got the local politicians office talking with Telstra, trying to get ADSL to this area. SOOOOO frustrating - try viewing a few photos at this speed, and see what the time is already... Maybe download a few files... Share what you know, learn what you don't.
