Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

below-0. I don't now how to say this nicely - I don't think this image works (sorry ). It took me forever to work out what I was looking at and I think that's a big part of my problem with the image, plus the panels across the bottom of the glass really dominate what I'm guessing is meant to be the focus of the image - the dark area of glass & water with the person in it.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Stubbsy on this one.
Perhaps you should give it more space on the sides to give people a clue as to what they're looking at, or do some matte drawing or cgi around the sides to make it look sci-fi-esque, otherwise, it's just too confusing for someone to look at. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

I was thinking the same thing. I just didn't want to be the first one to say it.

You have a vision and the courage to display it. The image has some very strong features and a sense of confusion..."what am I looking at"? I would rather see this type of work, and watch it evolve then have to puke over another flower! There! I have said it. Thanks for posting....and ...er....I've just taken some fab flower shots but I don't think I can now post them. Where's that delete button. Regards

I am about to soon post a couple of flower shots but I think they have passed to puke test! By the way...amazing how similar my shots are to the ones posted by yourself and Nick. Goes to prove what I have always known...that position is everything and the major component of composition. Put 20 photographers into the same space and they will all capture very similar images. I have to learn to breakaway. Regards
